The simple answer is that you just connect your new iPod touch to the computer and it will put all the songs you have in your iTunes library onto the iTouch, including videos, photos, and podcasts.

The media in your iTune library can be loaded into many ipods you own. It might not automatically load only if you specify "manually sync" option.
