 Another iPhone hack. Researchers at ISE claim that they have found a way to completely take control of your iPhone.
Since the successful release of iPhone in June, hackers have been very busy. The first hack is known as "Activate without AT&T": DVD Jon's iPhone hack can bypass AT&T activation by "Magic Numbers". The second hack is related to the feature that iPhone allows users to automatically dial a phone number by touching a link on a web site, convenient enough, it could also be abused by hackers.
Now, the researchers at Independent Security Evaluators (ISE) demonstrated that personal information can be gained by tricking the phone into accessing a particular web site or by using a rogue wi-fi connection.
Scary enough, Apple assures iPhone users that "Apple takes security very seriously and has a great track record of addressing potential vulnerabilities before they can affect users." |
